SEAKEYS visited Fowey Rocks on the 10th. The sensor was changed, but the old sensor bench tested accurately. Further investigation revealed that both the primary and backup sensor cables had become damaged. It appears that storm surge had broken some of the underwater conduit causing the cables to become exposed. Constant chafing wore through the protected casing and now the core is exposed. Present readings are still unreliable.
I will be out of town from the 18th to the 28th. We will begin the process of running new cables upon my return.
